S. Arturo
before being a farm holidays, is an
agricultural farm. Five generations have
lived from its foundation in 1950.
Agriculture is deeply changed but what doesn't
change in us is the desire to be in the
middle of the campaign.

We will make you approach to the
country style of life and you can
taste our typical dishes.

We believe, in fact, that to
introduce, above all to the children,
the origins of the job of the man is
formative and also amusing, for one
vacation not only to the standard of the
beach! |
A year
in campaign
|

The winter
is the season
of
the harvest of olives.
In our farm there are over a hundred of olive trees.
Olive oil
is one of the most typical products of
Tuscan agriculture and a symbol of our cuisine, a well-known product which has recently been
rediscovered together with the flavours of classic
home cooking. |

But to the cold season it is also the
better moment in order to prepare
typical meats of pig and wild boar.
These,
after a maintenance to the coolness of
the wine cellar, will be ready to eat
after some months. |

In
spring
we clean up and plant the flowers in the
garden.
We
prune the plants from fruit: olive
trees, lives.
Moreover we begin to make the hay. The
forage is cutted and rolled up therefore
to become the characteristic bales that
are looked at on hills.
The air in this period is filled up of a
perfume, nearly sweet, of grass. |

And then the summer,the
season for excellence arrives.
We
reap the yellow grain like gold, the
beautiful fruits of the earth are picked
up: vegetable, fruit, aromatic
grasses.... and to S.Arturo many persons
arrive also!!
At the end of August, we prepare the jam
of fig trees, of wild blackberries, of
plums... |

When the summer ends and the greater
part of the tourists leaves our farms,
the autumn is arriving. In
campaign the job never does not end. In
fact to the september end grape's
harvest!
Our wine is originated from grapes "Sangiovese"
and "Moscato" in majority, as
far as the red wine; while the white
wine derives from grapes Trebbiano
and Malvasia.
The red wine is the best one,
after one year of aging in oak barrels
to harmonize its natural taste. |
The
Small Restaurant

Our small restaurant is born from the
desire of Fiorella to make to know
the typical dishes to the guests.
The restaurant is small (approximately
twenty places) and it's open only to
dine. |

Our typical dishes are: home
pasta, sauce of wild boar, cakes of
vegetable, sweetcakes
You can eat in the veranda with light of
candle while Sandro cooks the
famous roast in the fireplace or
the Florentine beefsteak, or "Tagliata"
! |

The prices are indicate in the paper
that we deliver to the hosts.
The
price of a complete meal is
about 20/25,00 €
Once to week, then,
Fiorella takes a course of cousine! |
